First impressions

So Delhi is what I expected it to be but about 100 times expanded!!Full of people, traffic, noise of all sorts, smells, dust and a whole new culture. It's fascinating, exciting and sad at the same time. So many diversities of life and such life in abundance.

The poor are on the streets living at the side of the road in virtually nothing to give them shelter. Dogs wander along with cows in amongst the traffic without them been hit by any of it.It's just so bizarre!

Health and Safety would either die laughing or be mortified.Everything we abide by does not apply here. We just say "Well it's Delhi"!!Visiting the slums has been great and the people are so friendly and smiley.

They seem to enjoy seeing us and look at us in fascination as we look at them! We've started the painting and that has been fab today with Elmer taking shape with a jungle scene. Thoroughly enjoyable and good fun. The toilets are what we call interesting if we can find any at all! Hmmmm!!

I'm sure we have more to find out and more people to meet as the week goes on.
